Voorthuizen, the entrance to the Veluwe, is one of the tourist centres of the municipality of Barneveld. Many tourists and holidaymakers from the west of the country flock here every season for a short or longer period of time to go shopping or enjoy the fair, the many markets and the annual flower parade. The ‘Voorthuizen Straalt’ festival kicks off the tourist season. For its visitors, the village has a lot to offer. What about the Maize Maze, Recreation Area Zeumeren and the countless campsites. For hikers and cyclists, the area offers many walking and cycling routes with beautiful, varied landscapes.
