The forests of Garderen form a beautiful backdrop for sagas and legends. The area is perfect for hikers, cyclists and climbers. Garderen is also archaeologically interesting because of the burial mounds that you will find along the Pad van Zus walking route. Both historically and culturally, it certainly has plenty to offer. Korenmolen de Hoop, the Putbrink, the war memorial and the Dutch Reformed Church. As well as various monumental buildings that are also highlighted in the village walk. 

In addition, Garderen is one of the tourist attractions of the Barneveld region. It has numerous accommodations in attractive hotels and beautiful holiday parks, campsites and B&Bs. The Sand Sculpture Festival is an annual event that attracts many visitors and in the summer months, there is the annual fair.  Entrepreneurs in the area host various activities such as farmers’ and regional markets, felt workshops, music evenings, harvest demonstrations, car boot markets and much more.
