Stroe

Stroe is one of the oldest settlements in the Netherlands. Excavations revealed that hunters of the Hamburg culture were already camping in the area as early as 11,500 years ago. In other words, it is truly a village with history!

During a walk across the beautiful Stroese Heide, you will pass a burial mound from a later period. There is also plenty to do in Stroe in the ‘modern era’. Imagine yourself in Provence at the Lavender Farm, experience the roar of tractors and trucks during the Megapull Stroe or explore the countryside by (racing) bicycle.
