Discover all about the chicken and the egg at the Poultry Museum in Barneveld. A unique museum where the history of chicken and egg is shown in a fascinating way. Here you take a journey through the past of Dutch poultry farming. See an antique incubator still in operation and follow a chick as it hatches. Children can hold and cuddle the cute little chicks themselves. In the poultry garden, more than 20 Old Dutch breeds display their most beautiful colours. For children, there is a treasure hunt letter for an exciting tour of the museum. In the authentic auction room, you can take part in an auction. By pressing a button to stop the auction clock yourself at the right moment, you become the owner of a nice souvenir, a box of Barneveld eggs or a bottle of advocaat (eggnog).
This year, in addition to the permanent collection, the egg auction and the poultry garden, they have beautiful temporary exhibitions and, especially for young visitors, several activities to offer museum visitors.
